Human Resources Coordinator
Reporting to the Human Resources Superintendent, as an HR business partner for LMC site offices, you will be responsible for elements of HR operations on site.

  • Coordinate the Human Resource systems and identify and prioritize improvements opportunities and formulate alternatives and improvements to systems and methods
  • Coordinate recruitment activities
  • Monitor LMC compliance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) by communicating CBA requirements to HOD’s, regular review of implementation and addressing any non-compliance matters
  • Coordinating and completing timely on-boarding and employee exit processes
  • Responsible for quality HR Support Delivery for the assigned Department
  • Prepare and manage the budget for the department. induding workforce planning and annual LOM update on staffing requirements
To be considered for the position, you must meet the following requirements
  • Minimum Diploma in Human Resources related discipline.
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in a senior site based HR role, preferably in Mining industry
  • Strong background in Human Resources Management, general business acumen and capacity to act as an Internal consultant.
  • Competent n the use of an Integrated HR Information System (such as Oracle, Taleo) and Pronto
  • Member of the Zambia Institute of Human Resources Management (ZIHRM).

  • Ability to function under pressure in a complex, production-intensive remote location
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage at all levels

 Human Resources Superintendent
Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, you will be responsible for supervising the overall HR function.

  • Policies and Procedures
  • Project management of all site HR Tactical Plans and monitoring performance.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholder in LMC’s operational activities
  • Achieve agreed environmental targets, legal compliance and incident prevention. Lead the development of a culture of workforce environmental care and respect.
  • Develop and maintain a team structure that adheres to Barricks Organizational Framework policy, enables
  • Teamwork and personal development while focusing on the achievement of results.
  • Review functional expenditure on a monthly basis to achieve compliance with budget requirements/alignment
  • Participate in the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) negotiations
  • Immigration and expatriate management
To be considered for the position, you must meet the following requirements
  • A formal degree in a Human Resources related discipline,
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in a senior site-based HR role, preferably n the Mining industry
  • Competent in the use of an integrated HR Information System (such as Oracle, Talco) and Pronto
  • HR generalist experience of at least 5 years. with proven experience In dealing with Unions
  • Member of the Zambia Institute of Human Resources Management (ZIHRM)
