Process Controller Oxygen Plant job in Zambia

The company seeks the services of: Process Controller Oxygen Plant .
Reporting to the Sectional Engineer oxygen plant the successful candidate shall have extensive experience in cryogenic distillation oxygen plants, the position responsibilities shall have a bias towards compressor maintenance
and plant operations. The position will require operation and control of oxygen plant machinery and equipment in order to produce oxygen at the required quality and flow rate to enable production department meet their targets within budget costs and to carry out skilled and qualitative instrumentation/Electrical/Mechanical first level maintenance repairs, services, troubleshooting and installation work on units in the section
and plant operations. Duties will, among others, include:
Operations
• Operation and process control of Oxygen plant machinery and equipment to produce Oxygen product.
• Monitoring of plant and process parameters to ensure standard operation.
• Monitoring equipment functioning, observe temperature, level, and flow gauges, and perform regular unit
• checks, in order to ensure that ah equipment‘s operating as it should
• Monitoring and controls of product at various stages of the process.
• Adjustment of equipment to achieve required process parameters according the plant best operating practices (BOP).
• Opening valves to transfer liquid oxygen in storage tanks at specified temperature and pressure.
• Recording of process parameters and readings to ensure effective process control
• Offloading of liquid oxygen from road tanks to the liquid oxygen storage tanks while adhering to the plant safety requirements and standards
• Preforming oxygen plant controlled start-up and shut down activities including plant defrosts.
• Monitoring of plant and process parameters to ensure standard operation.

• Offloading of liquid oxygen from road tanks to the liquid oxygen storage tanks while adhering to the plant safety requirements and standards
• Preforming oxygen plant controlled start-up and shut down activities including plant defrosts.
Maintenances
• Receives specific daily work schedules and carries maintenance/repair out work as per plan.
• Refers to Foreman on area beyond own knowledge and experience.
• Maintains, services and repairs equipment (including use of approved testing/specialized tools) to achieve specific or required results.
• Reports progress of work to superior and complete MWO to account for resources used.
• Assigns some semi-skilled tasks to Mechanic/Senior Mechanic as authorized by Foreman
• Ensures clean and safe work area, maintenance of tools and equipment after use.
• Refers to Foreman on area beyond own knowledge and experience.
• Maintains, services and repairs equipment (including use of approved testing/specialized tools) to achieve specific or required results.
• Reports progress of work to superior and complete MWO to account for resources used.
• Assigns some semi-skilled tasks to Mechanic/Senior Mechanic as authorized by Foreman
• Ensures clean and safe work area, maintenance of tools and equipment after use.
To be considered for this position, you shall meet the following minimum requirements:
• Craft or Advanced Certificate in Electrical, Instrumentation or Plant Fitting.
• Must have minimum five (03) years industrial experience preferably in a cryogenic distillation based oxygen plant
• Experience in compressor operations and maintenances would be an added advantage.
• Must have valid EIZ and ERB practicing certificates
• The successful candidate must be result oriented and have the ability to work with own initiative, paying particular attention to Company policies and Corporate objectives.
• Must have minimum five (03) years industrial experience preferably in a cryogenic distillation based oxygen plant
• Experience in compressor operations and maintenances would be an added advantage.
• Must have valid EIZ and ERB practicing certificates
• The successful candidate must be result oriented and have the ability to work with own initiative, paying particular attention to Company policies and Corporate objectives.
