Inspector Aerodromes
Civil Aviation Authority is currently looking for a suitably qualified person to fill in the position of;
Inspector Aerodromes
Job Purpose
Reporting to the Senior Inspector Aerodromes:
• The job holder will be required maintain and implement compliance with ICAO Annexes 14,16 and 19 standards and recommended practices, in particular the following:
• Undertake the certification, audit and surveillance of aerodomidromes operations and facilitates in order to ensure that they meet international standards;
• Undertake the regulation of airport rescue fire services, personnel, equipment and coordination of emergency preparedness in order to facilitate mitigation of aircraft accidents and other airport emergencies
• Undertake enforcement of compliance to requirements, standards and regulations related to operations at airport, aerodromes and airstrips
• Undertake the regulation of airport emergency services,equipment,personnel procedures in order to ensure adequate coordination and preparedness in the vent of aircraft accidents and incidents
• Undertake regularly the development and dissemination of capacity building guidelines for aerodrome operators in order to ensure that aerodromes operations meet the aviation standards requirements;
• Understake effectively the approval and auditing of the airport safety management systems in order to minimum hazards and risks in aerodromes operations

Knowledge and Skills Requirements
• Minimum primary/secondary education: full form V/Grade 12 certificate
• Minimum vocational /professional qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil/Electrical)

• Minimum vocational /professional qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil/Electrical)
Other Professional qualification will be added advantage such as:
• Airports management certificate;
• Government Safety Inspector certificate
• Minimum relevant pre-job experience 5 years
