MDT Nutrition Analyst

The World Food Programme (WFP). the food assistance organization of the United Nations is seeking applications from qualified national candidates to fill the following position(s):
Post Title: MDT Nutrition Analyst
Post Grade: G6
Contract Type Service Contract (SC)
Duty Station: Lusaka, Zambia
The MDT Nutrition Analyst will be mainly responsible for the following duties:
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Develop a strong Scaling Up Nutrition (SUN) Business Network brand and membership
  • Recruit ind retain high profile & committed SUN Business Network members from Zambia’s private sector and other key partners
  • Plan and organise regular meetings, networking activities, workshops & ocher events
  • Increase commercial engagement in the nutrition market
  • Develop and share nutrition market information with members of the SUN Business Network, through research, stakeholder interviews and field trips
  • Support members ¡n developing proposals to seek funding for nutrition initiatives
  • Improve the nutrition regulatory environment, including liaising with relevant government stakeholders to share private sector challenges and opportunities and advocate for policy change where needed
  • Improve nutrition distribution partnerships, including linkages between SUN Business Network members,and provide up to date distribution information to reduce distribution challenges for nutrition products
  • Improve nutrition in the business community through advocacy and encouragement, as part of everyday SBN activities, for workplace health and nutrition programmes
  • Carry out other tasks, as required, to support the day-to-day activities of WFP’s engagement with the private sector on nutrition in Zambia
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Degree in business management, international development or related field
  • 2 years experience in project management, analyst role and business processes.
  • Advanced Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point skills
