The Zambia Anglian Council(ZAC),is a faith based umbrella organization comprising five(5) dioceses coordinating the church’s development work with the support of the joint Country Programme(JCP) a consortium of three (3) International Faith Based Non – governmental organisations,namely Norwegian Church Aid, and other donors, such as, the Austrian Board of Mission,Isdell:Flowers Foundation, United Society and UNICEF is implementing various projects including Gender,Livelihoods,Cross Border Malaria initiative,GBV, ECD and health care in the five Anglican Dioceses in Zambia, invites applicants applications from qualified persons to fill the position of;
Internal Auditor
Job Purpose
The job involves internal financial controls including independent, objective assurance on the use of the resources designed to add value and improve the organizations operations. The Auditor is expected to add value to the organization’s ability to accomplish its objectives to improve the effectiveness of risk management, control, transparency and accountability.
Qualifications and Required Experience
• Qualified internal Auditor (IIA or equivalent)or qualified accountant(ZICA,ACCA or equivalent);
• Fully registered and paid up member of ZICA;
• International audit – must possess high level of computer literacy in Word, Excel and Knowledge in Accounting Package (pastel) is a must and not less than 3 years of operation;
• Ability to work autonomously in a stand-alone role
• Ability to work under pressure, independently with minimum supervision
• Must be able to exercise high levels of integrity, honesty and due diligence when carrying out duties and responsibilities
Head of Programmes
Job Purpose
Collaborate closely with heads and senior staff at the provincial and district level of the Government ministries responsible for the programmes ZACOP is implementing.CHAZ,it is the faith based organization and other organization involved in health programmes. He/she will help to build and maintain strong working relations with government, civil society, private sector and partners. The head of programmes will also be responsible for the Diocesan health scale-up strategies.
Qualifications and required experience
• Master’s degree in International development, Agriculture, Health, social science or related discipline or an equivalent university degree with extensive fieldwork experience over and above listed below;
• At least 5 years’ experience in development and emergency programme management, preferably with other NGO or project monitoring and evaluation for Partners funded project monitoring and evaluation for Partners funded projects in developing countries
• Excellent organizational, planning and analytical skills; detailed-oriented, adaptable and flexible
• Experience in participatory program design/development and implantation (design, monitoring,evaluation and reporting),including activity and budget management
• Demonstrated experience with PEPFAR reporting requirements, indicators and programmatic priorities
• Strong experience in applied research and monitoring and evaluation of one or more of the following areas;HIV/AIDS, health services, social welfare GBV and or economic strengthening programs
• Strong experience of quantitative and qualitative data management and analytical skills, including proficiency in the use of common data management software such as MS Access
• Experience in budgets managements, required
• Extensive experience in the use of participatory mythologies
• Knowledge of the Zambian Anglican Church policies, procedures and standards preferred.
• Proven in depth Knowledge of partner/donor cash and in kind policies and regulations
• Demostrate ability to provide leadership in strategic planning initiative
• Willingness to travel within/outside the country from time to time
• Posses current clean driving license
Accountant
Job Purpose
Responsible for efficient and effective administration of the accounting functions and safeguarding assets and financial resources for the Zambia Anglican Church including all partner/donor financed resources. The Accountant will continuously monitor and analyze the financial programmes of implementing Dioceses to ensure compliance with objectives and signed agreements with partners/donors.
Qualifications and Required Experience
• A bachelor of accountancy degree or equivalent professional qualification
• Qualified Accountant (ACCA, ZICA, CIMA or equivalent).Fully registered and paid up member of ZICA
• Minimum of three years post qualifying experience in a responsible position especially in projects related organizations will have added advantage;
• Experience of computerized accounting systems essential
• Preparing budgets and books of accounts foe audit
• Ability to effectively manage tasks with tight deadlines
• Knowledge of legislation on Employment standards, Occupational health and safety, and Human rights
• Interpersonal and technical skills, personal organization as well as integrity are required
• Knowledge of the voluntary sector
Country Director
Job Purpose
Responsible for leading a strategic – planning process to ZACOP for success in communications and securing grants and grants and increased national and global visibility. Also lead the [planning process for the ZACOP component at the National and Diocesan levels, including facilitating consultations with partners/Donors, stakeholders, Government Ministries and Agents and relevant partners
Main Responsibilities
• Facilitating consultations with partners/Donors, stakeholders, Government Ministries and Agents and relevant partners; leading a strategic – planning process to position ZACOP for success in communications and securing grants and grifts and increased national and global visibility;
• Coordinating the ZACOP, strategic communications and Advocacy working group;
• Planning and executing against a calendar of grants, anniversaries and import communication related deadlines and activities;
• Maintaining close contact and a mutual flow of information with current and prospective partners/Donors and supporting stakeholders, Dioceses and other organizations
Qualifications and Required Experience
• Master’s degree in sociology, rural development, economics,development studies or relevant field with minimum 3 years work experience OR
• A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (sociology, rural development, economics and development studies)with a minimum of 4 years of progressively responsible and relevant programme experience is required;
• Strong technical background in socio – economic development and livehoods development;
• Experience in building and maintaining partnerships with Government, Other development partners and the private sector;
• Demonstrate capacity to undertake management responsibilities
• Demonstrate experience with PEPFAR reporting requirements, indicators and programmatic priorities.
• Strong experience in applied research and monitoring and evaluation of one or more of the following areas:HIV/AIDs, health services, social welfare and /or enonomic strengthening programs;
