Technologist (Fossil Fuels)
To carry out less complex routine inspections of installations and premises of licensed undertakings in the fossil fuels sub-sector in Muchinga Region to ensure their compliance to technical standards, safety and licensing requirements.
Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 12
- Diploma in Chemical, Environmental, Civil or, Mechanical Engineering
- 2 years post qualifying experience
- Computer literate and conversant with Microsoft Office Suite
- Member Engineering Institution of Zambia (EIZ)
Main Duties and Responsibilities
While in the company of an Engineer or alone, job holder conducts routine inspections of installations and premises of licensed undertakings as follows:
- Carries out routine inspections of assigned installation and premises of licensed undertaking to ensure compliance to technical standards, safety and licensing requirements.
- Compiles inspection reports highlighting the compliance levels of the Inspected utilities for the attention of his/her superior.
- Assists the Engineer to maintain and update a database to facilitate storage and retrieval of required information concerning the undertakings.
- Carries out any other duties within his technical competence as assigned by his/her superior.
