Presales Engineer

Airtel Zambia is currently looking for suitably qualified person to fill in the position of;
Presales Engineer
Job purpose
The main purpose of the role is to support sales productivity and deal flow by securing the “technical close” in complex solutions. The role holder will develop customer solution in the sales cycle, based on understanding customer needs and aligning those needs with the spectrum of Airtel’s product offerings.
Reporting to: The Enterprise Data Solutions Manager
The role will be responsible for:
• Develop detailed design solutions including bill of material configurations, logical call flows, and architecture diagrams.
• Translating complex business requirements into Network solutions
• Design and validate of solutions and providing guidance on best practices for implementation
• Achieve a profit and productivity quota made up of the combined expectations of the sales resources, market, and/or channel supported
• Develop Leads, Partner relationships and maintain relationships with targeted organizations
• Monitors customer support for technical solutions proposed throughout the sales process, and alerts the sales and account teams to potential risks of deal closure.
• Shall support the sales team with the required product information, communicate sales strategies effectively and support sales team in the entire sales cycle.
• Respond to RFP and Bid management

Required Skills & Knowledge
• Bachelors in Computer Science Engineering, Electrical Electronics with Computing Option or any other IT related courses
• Professional qualifications in Networking such as CCNA, CCNP or higher will be an added advantage.
• Documentation management
• Excellent written skills
• Relevant Experience (Type of experience and minimum number of years)
• 4-5 years of work experience with 2 years of relevant experience in Telecom Industry.
• Relevant experience in telecom enterprise services networking environment will be preferred.
• Extensive knowledge of telecom enterprise business products and technical requirements.
• Experience with solutions from leading Networking vendors (CISCO, JUNIPER,HP)
• Professional qualifications in Networking such as CCNA, CCNP or higher will be an added advantage.
• Documentation management
• Excellent written skills
• Relevant Experience (Type of experience and minimum number of years)
• 4-5 years of work experience with 2 years of relevant experience in Telecom Industry.
• Relevant experience in telecom enterprise services networking environment will be preferred.
• Extensive knowledge of telecom enterprise business products and technical requirements.
• Experience with solutions from leading Networking vendors (CISCO, JUNIPER,HP)
