IT Manager

Our client an international consultant with a strong focus in Sub Saharan Africa, has operations in 10 countries with over 6000 employees. The company help clients with experience- centric solutions that empower them in enhancing business efficiencies, streamlining operations and reducing costs. With their internationally recognised delivery model they ensure that they bring the right local skill sets and global experience together to serve their customers better.
The Company is seeking to fill the position of IT Manager based in Lusaka.
Reporting to: General Manager Technology (IT)
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Team Management
  • Preparation of IT and Telecom plans for existing and new business as needed.
  • Regular and systematic evaluation of the operating results of the IT organization including reporting to the
  • Head Information Technology and senior leadership team.
  • Overall development of IT and Telecom operations, processes and procedures in support of company goals and objectives
  • Ensures that all organization activities and operations are carried out in compliance with company code of ethics, local, state.
  • Develops and maintains strong, positive client relationships by building a bridge to the client and evaluating opportunities to improve their business.
  • Supports all Operational efforts.
  • Responsible for doing internal audits of IT policies and procedures.
  • Using innovative methods to improve functional / intra functional efficiency
Qualification, skills and Experience
  • 5 – 7 years relevant work experience in IT/Telecom roles in a customer service related industry.
  • Proven IT/Telecom management experience.
  • Strategic leadership and development.
  • BE required, postgraduate degree in related field or MBA preferred.
  • Proven experience in leading the IT/Telecommunications group of a customer service related business.
  • CCNA/MCP/ITIL certifications will be considered as added advantages.
  • Must be flexible to meet the needs of the business, in addition to working before and after team shift.
