OPERATIONS MANAGER
Rent-to-Own (RTO) is a social enterprise working to increase the prosperity of entrepreneurs in rural Zambia by providing productive assets. The company has an exciting new model to offer business equipment on payment terms that are tailored to rural entrepreneurs and farmers. Rent to Own is an international company, with partners and stall from Zambia, Canada, the Netherlands and the USA. Founded in 2010, the company has worked with over 1,300 customers and is in the middle of a period of rapid growth, doubling our sales year on year.
Responsibilities
You will be responsible and accountable for RTO’s field operations, Over the next four years you will;
- Lead a team of 14 full time staff, and growing to over 40
- Scale our agent network from 35 to 350 actively selling in excess of K75,000/yr
- Grow revenue by 2.5x each year
- Open new offices across Zambia from our current 7 districts to over 30 districts
- Own the customer experience ensuring a professional, timely, transparent and mutually beneficial transaction ensuring over 95% of installments are paid on time.
- Set operational strategy with the executive team
Experience
The Candidate must have the following:
- Minimum 7 years management experience in corporate environment
- Degree in Marketing, agriculture, Business or similar
- Minimum 2 years field work in rural Zambia
- Analyzing sales and customer data
Preference given to those with;
- Experience in credit/distribution/sales
- Track record of driving performance through a remote team
Reporting: The successful candidate will report directly to the CEO
