VACANCY: Transmission Operations Senior Engineer
LEVEL: 5
LOCATION: Lusaka

JOB PURPOSE
REPORTING TO NETWORK OPERATIONS MANAGER, THE MAIN DUTIES WILL BE TO:
  • Ensuring transmission network up-time and performance. Coordinate with partners on day-to-day basis in order to resolve temporary, short term and long term issues.
  • Regular KPIs delivery assurance
  • Implement Transmission network redundancy processes to avoid single point of failure
  • Responsible for repair & replacement of all transmission elements across NW
  • Partner close coordination to review transmission KPIs, performance of each backbone health
  • Day-to-day LoS, Interference analysis and recommendations
  • Repair and Replacement management
  • Regulatory Compliance

  REQUIRED SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE
Educational Qualifications  & Functional / Technical Skills
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Telecommunication Engineering
  • Able to operate in a performance driven organization
Relevant Experience (Type of experience and minimum number of years)
  • Should have in-depth work experience on Various Transmission Systems including NEC, E///, NSN, Huawei technologies.
  • Able to understand the transmission architecture and its limitations
  • Should able to review MW, Optical technologies performance and work towards ensuring error-free transmission network
  • Should have sound knowledge on transmission system dimension aspects and hands on experience on TDM, FE tech
  • 6-10 years’ experience with concentrated experience of 4-6 years in GSM telecom industry with hands-on in Access Network (Transmission)  domain and specific to NEW, Ericsson, NSN and Huawei.
  • Work experience in TRM system features/ functions, parameter knowledge and Optimization skill sets.
  • Deep understanding of all TRM KPIs

Vacancy: Network Quality Senior Engineer

JOB PURPOSE:

REPORTING TO NETWORK QUALITY MANAGER, THE MAIN DUTIES ARE:
  • Accountable for ensuring Network Quality of Service
  • Coordination with TSG, CSD team to capture and analyse the customer complaints and resolution
  • Daily basis NW performance check and corrective initiatives.
  • Tracking of Optimization activities and close coordination with Partners, Sub-Contractors in order to ensure right implementation.
  • Quality assurance coordination for all new implementation and Changes/ Modification.
  • Parameter Change Control and adherence to Approval Management. Pre & Post Changes assurance.
  • Regulatory KPIs measurement and assurance to meet all KPIs
  • ZBM coordination, Zonal Partner team coordination
  • MAPA values and formula assurance

  REQUIRED SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE

Educational Qualifications  & Functional / Technical Skills
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics and Communications OR IT/Computer Science
  • Able to operate in a performance driven organization
  • Should have led technical function of a similar scale
Relevant Experience (Type of experience and minimum number of years)
  • 6-9 years’ experience with concentrated experience of >4 years in GSM telecom industry with hands-on in 3G, 2G RAN/CORE  domain and specific to Ericsson, NSN and Huawei.
  • Work experience in RAN system Quality and RAN Optimization skill sets.
  • Deep understanding of 2G & 3G RAN KPIs
