Civil Aviation Authority is currently looking for a suitably qualified person to fill in the position of;

Report to the Director – Corporation Affairs

The job holder will be required to develop, maintain and implement compliance with corporate policy and requirement that support the implementation of the requirements of the Chicago Convention and its annexes particular the following:

• Manage effectively the stocking and operation of a technical library to ensure ready access of technical information to all directorates:
• Manages the effectively implementation of performance management systems in order to enhance individual and organizational performance; and
• Supervise effectively utilization of Human and material resources in order to facilitate attainment of set objectives

• Minimum Primary/Secondary education; full form V/Grade 12 certificate
• Minimum vocational/professional qualifications; degree in Library studies
• Minimum relevant pre-job experience; three years post qualification experience

Reporting to the Director – Flight safety and Standards:

The job holder will be required to develop, maintain and implement compliance with ICAO Annexes 1, and 19 standards and recommended Practices, in practices, in particular the following;

• Supervise the issuance of issuance of air crew Licenses in order to ensure that they meeting international standards
• Supervise the control and management of the regulation of crew examinations order to ensure compliance ICAO requirements;
• Supervises regularly the development of register of all qualified and authorized flying and technical examiners in order to maintain required standard;
• Manages the effectively implementation of performance management systems in order to enhance individual and organizational performance
• Supervises the effective utilization of human and material resources in order to facilitate attainment of set objectives

• Minimum primary/secondary education;full form V/Grade 12 certificate

• Professional Pilot Licence(ATPL)
• Senior Air Traffic Management Inspector
• Senior Airworthiness Inspector

Inspector Aerodromes
Job Purpose
Reporting to the Senior Inspector Aerodromes:
• The job holder will be required maintain and implement compliance with ICAO Annexes 14,16 and 19 standards and recommended practices, in particular the following:
• Undertake the certification, audit and surveillance of aerodomidromes operations and facilitates in order to ensure that they meet international standards;
• Undertake the regulation of airport rescue fire services, personnel, equipment and coordination of emergency preparedness in order to facilitate mitigation of aircraft accidents and other airport emergencies
• Undertake enforcement of compliance to requirements, standards and regulations related to operations at airport, aerodromes and airstrips
• Undertake the regulation of airport emergency services,equipment,personnel procedures in order to ensure adequate coordination and preparedness in the vent of aircraft accidents and incidents
• Undertake regularly the development and dissemination of capacity building guidelines for aerodrome operators in order to ensure that aerodromes operations meet the aviation standards requirements;
• Understake effectively the approval and auditing of the airport safety management systems in order to minimum hazards and risks in aerodromes operations

Knowledge and Skills Requirements
• Minimum primary/secondary education: full form V/Grade 12 certificate
• Minimum vocational /professional qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil/Electrical)
