The Centre for Infectious Disease Research in Zambia (CIDRZ) is a Zambian NGO improving the health of Zambians by conducting locally-relevant research, providing technical support and training, and strengthening primary healthcare provision systems in the areas of HIV/AIDS, Tuberculosis and other infectious diseases, women’s health, and newborn and child health. CIDRZ has been an active partner of the Government of the Republic of Zambia since 2001 through collaboration with the Ministry of Health and other line Ministries. CIDRZ now wishes to recruit:

Reports to Assistant Study Coordinator.

The incumbent is responsible for supervising Community liaison Officers working in multiple health facilities and community settings that are responsible for tracing patients identified as lost to follow up and collecting data. S/he ensures that patients are traced and data collected as per protocol.
Main Duties
Trace lost to follow patients using phone calls and in person follow up and supervise tracers on the same process.
Ensure that Tracers obtain informed consent prior to performing any study related activities as per protocol.
Complete all required study data collection and procedures according to the highest ethical standards, study checklists and Standard Operating Procedures.
Assist with completing community data collection using electronic data capture (tablet computers / smart phones).
Maintain a work plan throughout the study to document tracking activities. Participate in study monitoring and documentation exercises.
Assist with community sensitization in communities where the study will be implemented. Performing quality checking of tracers tracing activities in a timely manner.
Maintain strict participant confidentiality and privacy at all times. Be accountable and responsible for study resources and supplies, such as data collection forms, participant files, study equipment, and facilities.
Collaborate with ASC or QA/QC data supervisor and other staff to ensure timely completion and submission of study reports to the Study Coordinator.

Qualifications
- Diploma in Social work, or Certificate in health related field
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in Health Research or Community Health work;
Excellent community and interpersonal skills;
Excellent ability to work confidentially with sensitive information;
Must be able to work with minimal supervision and proficient in basic computer skills; Experience in HIV Peer Education, PLWHA support and Health Research an advantage; Familiarity with Smart Care and handling patient files an advantage;
