Mint Advisory Services,our Client, funded by the Research, Technology and Utilization Division of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) is conducting a Medical Detailing Program in the Lusaka and Copperbelt regions of Zambia to support the introduction and sales of new family planning methods to private and public providers, pharmacists and vendors. The firm now invites applications from suitably qualified Zambian Citizens to fill the position of Medical Detailer

The Medical Detailer will be responsible for the successful implementation and continued sustainability of the project in conjunction with the Medical Detailing Supervisor. S/He will be in charge for product training, provider follow-up, field sales activity and data collection to identify ways to improve uptake of the new products

The role of a medical detailer in this program is an exciting and dynamic position that requires energetic and self-motivated high perfomers Successful candidates will be working from a “virtual office” and will need to be comfortable with a lean, global structure as well as be tech – savvy individuals that can communicate clearly using a variety of technologies

• Degree in marketing,sales,commerce,economics,medical or biological related field; nursing or healthcare background is a plus
• Minimum of 1 year of sales experience in the pharmaceutical and/ or Medical device or Family planning industry would be advantageous
• Experience or knowledge of reproductive health sciences
• High level of comfort handling products and materials that pertain to sexual health and wellbeing
• Fluency in local language
• Willingness to travel – travel stipend will be provided
• Must be confident and proficient in computer skills, emails communication, excel and internet use. Data collection and communication will take place by email and tablets
• Must be comfortable working with a remote team locate around the world.

The ideal candidate will possess a high level of emotional intelligence with strong decision making skills, high level of honesty,intergrity,objectivity and independendence of thought. Demonstrate ability to interact and cooperate with all company employees and stakeholders as well as be proactive in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with all support departments,providers and vendors
