RESEARCH FELLOW, URBAN DEVELOPMENT RESEARCH PROGRAMME

JOB TITLE: RESEARCH FELLOW, URBAN DEVELOPMENT RESEARCH PROGRAMME (1 Position).
Purpose:  To undertake outstanding research which is relevant to the development  needs of society.
Responsibilities
i)    Writing research proposals, undertaking literature reviews, collecting data, analyzing data and writing quality research reports.
ii)    Participating in effective dissemination of research findings to varied audiences.
iii)    Providing consultancy services to public and private institutions.
iv)    Designing research projects which adhere to the scientific research process.
v)    Participating in lecturing students at the University of Zambia.
Qualifications
i)    Grade 12 Certificate or its equivalent.
ii)    Bachelor ‘s degree in Urban Development/Planning or related field.
iii)    Minimum Masters degree in Urban Development/Planning or related field,
iv)    Knowledge of Global and Zambian Urban Development issues.
v)    Working knowledge of at least one quantitative data entry and processing software (Epida, Epi Info and CSPro).
vi)    Working knowledge of at least one quantitative data analysis software (SPSS, Stata, SAS)
vii)    Experience in teaching or research will be an added advantage.
viii)    Must be computer literate.
