Administrative Assistant
A Women’s Fertility clinic that houses one of the largest groups of dedicated specialists in the fields of gynecology, fertility and maternity in East and Central Africa is opening in Zambia. They are looking for a suitably qualified person to fill in the position as  an Administrative Assistant.
Responsibilities
• Greet patients, sign patients in
• Act as triage/receptionist for incoming patients and telephone calls
• Schedule patient appointments for new and established patients
• Obtain/ processes billing/insurance information.
• Assist with the education and orientation of fertility patients to Lusaka IVF and Fertility Clinic services
• Generate and maintain patient prescreening and testing checklists in conjunction with clinical protocols
• Maintain consent forms, entering data into the computerized patient information record
• Assist the nursing team with a variety of administrative functions such as obtaining pre-authorizations.
• Answering telephone calls, creating and sending patient packets & other correspondence.
• Maintaining the privacy and confidentiality of information
• Provide consistent and timely patient follow up and management of testing and cycles.
• Establish a compassionate environment by providing excellent customer service, anticipating anxieties, answering questions, providing support
Qualifications and Experience
• High School diploma/GED required; Associates degree preferred
• Excellent oral and written communication, interpersonal and customer service skills
• Ability to work autonomously and in a team environment with strong organizational skills
• Strong attention to detail, demonstrated ability to follow-through, and high degree of comfort with computer applications, accuracy and speed with data entry is required
• Minimum of one year of prior experience in healthcare and familiarity with medical terminology
